Your Alpha briefing

Six focused checks — not a hundred-page test plan. Run what you can, tell us what broke, and help us shape how a running app feels on a real Tuesday.

Before you start

  • Install from the invite email (TestFlight or Play Internal).
  • Sign in with the same email we used for your invite.
  • Alpha is early — bugs happen. You're never required to run in unsafe conditions.
  • Trevak provides estimates and trends for training and gear — not medical advice.
01

First mission on the board

Get comfortable starting and finishing a real run in Trevak.

  1. Install Trevak and sign in with the same email we invited.
  2. Start a short outdoor mission (even 10–15 minutes is fine).
  3. Finish and confirm the run shows up in your mission log.
  4. Note anything confusing in the in-app feedback tool.

Done when: At least one completed mission appears in the athlete's mission log.

02

The Dead Zone

Prove offline-first: data should buffer and sync when you're back online.

  1. Start a mission with normal connectivity.
  2. Turn off cellular/Wi-Fi mid-run for a few minutes.
  3. Keep moving, then finish the mission.
  4. Turn connectivity back on and confirm the run syncs without missing chunks.

Done when: Mission completes and syncs after offline period with no obvious data loss.

03

The Red Light

Standing still should not invent phantom distance.

  1. Run about a mile (or a solid warm-up).
  2. Stop completely at a light or curb for ~2–3 minutes.
  3. Watch pace/distance while still — note any drift.
  4. Finish the mission and tell us what you saw.

Done when: Tester reports whether distance/pace stayed stable while stationary.

04

Ghost Protocol

Start/stop near home and check that shared maps trim the sensitive edges.

  1. Start a mission near your usual home start (safe, familiar route).
  2. Run a short loop and finish back near the same area.
  3. Open any shared/HQ map preview of that run.
  4. Confirm the first and last stretch near home looks trimmed (~400m privacy zone) — not a precise doorstep trail.

Done when: Shared/map preview does not expose a precise home start/end breadcrumb.

05

Chassis check

Confirm shoe/foam wear estimates move after a real effort (modeling, not medical).

  1. Set or confirm an active shoe in your Armory/loadout.
  2. Complete a run with that shoe selected.
  3. Check estimated foam/chassis life afterward.
  4. Tell us if the change felt sensible for the effort you did.

Done when: Shoe wear estimate updates after a completed mission with that shoe.

06

Honest notes

Send us clear feedback — what felt great, what broke, what you'd change.

  1. Use the in-app Alpha feedback tool (or email alpha@trevakrunning.com).
  2. Include device + OS if something glitched.
  3. Call out anything that would make you stick around as a paying runner.
  4. Keep it candid — Wave 0 is tiny so we can actually listen.

Done when: At least one written feedback note received from the tester.

Have a Garmin or COROS export from the same route? Share it in Alpha Lab — we trim privacy edges before anything is saved.
